If you've stumbled upon this website, there's a good chance you have nagging memories of a book you read during your childhood. Or you might remember vivid details about the book's plot and characters - virtually everything except that much-needed title or author.

Some books come up on discussion boards with such surprising frequency, you have to wonder how such a well-loved book could be out of print. And many of them are out of print. However, all hope is not lost.

Snow Treasure

Snow Treasure
by Marie McSwigan, originally published in 1942.

Summary
Peter Lundstrom never thought he would become a hero. Nazi troops parachuted into Peter's tiny village and held it captive. Nobody thought they could be defeated -- until Uncle Victor told Peter how the children of the village could fool the enemy.

It was a dangerous plan. Peter and his friends had to slip past Nazi guards with nine million dollars in gold hidden on their sleds. It meant risking their country's treasure -- and their lives.
