Summary
On a windy, wretched Wednesday, when everything goes wrong, Susan Shaw's life is touched with magic. After returning home from school she takes her usual ride up the elevator to what she thought was the seventh floor of her apartment building in New York City. Instead, she arrived at a house in the country in the year 1881 and where she meets two new friends and with them faces a challenging problem.
